Bequest Wording for Donors
The following is intended to help you draft a bequest that meets your intentions. If you wish to support a particular program, we ask that you contact our finance lead. Our legal name should appear as:

We suggest the following wording:
General Bequest of a stated sum of money or portion of the estate:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Rochester Rascals Pet Rescue, Inc., 82 Cypress Street, Rochester, NY 14620, Federal Tax Identification Number 42-3928190, ($___________) or (__________% of the estate).”
Specific Bequest of a certain asset from your estate:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Rochester Rascals Pet Rescue, Inc., 82 Cypress Street, Rochester, NY 14620, Federal Tax Identification Number 42-3928190, (insert here a description of the particular property).”
Residuary Bequest, after other bequests and expenses have been paid:

Contingent Bequest if you are not survived by certain individuals:
