Without Rochester Rascals unclaimed animals are simply euthanized.
It's an uncomfortable truth that Animal Control is NOT a no-kill shelter. Pets unclaimed after the standard holding time are routinely euthanized.
We believe every animal deserves a chance and founded Rochester Rascals to be a bridge between unclaimed stray pets and their loving furever homes.

Rascal - $25-49 monthly
Welcome a new abandoned, surrendered or lost pet into a loving foster home every month of the year. You provide the food, warmth & love.
Guardian - $50-74 monthly
Guard your sponsored rescues with prevention from fleas, ticks and worms. You give them the clean slate & fresh start they deserve!
Protector - $75-99 monthly
Your sponsored rescues are protected against disease because you provided them with vaccines including Bordetella (kennel cough), Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and Rabies.
Lifesaver - $100-499 monthly
Adoption fees cover just a fraction of our actual cost of care. Your gift defrays the cost to responsibly spay/neuter every pet - saving lives into the future!
Hero - $500+ monthly
Because of you, we have the confidence to rescue the dogs & cats who need us most, no matter how dire need or costly the emergency. Ear infections, dental cleaning & extractions, amputations, emergency visits - you help us prioritize care over cost!
